Thoughts:
Not a lot to go on but what it does show is some promise but then again most trailers do.
The first person we see on the trailer is one of my favorite underused actors -Keith David- and when he’s in a movie I’m watching it and chances are from what I saw in the trailer he will be the one giving the best performance. One of the actresses (the one who fears someone is after her) seems to just be trying way to hard. I couldn’t get a feel for any of the other actors in the movie since the trailer is so short and mainly focuses on the chick who fears getting killed.
One of the things that look like it’s going to be a bugger is all the damn extreme close ups. Most of the shots shown were way to close to the face to really convey what is happening but this is a trailer so there may not be so many in the movie, however, the director,Michael J. Gallagher is known for a LOT of close ups so be prepared for some awkward shots.
The movie does not look scary but it does look both fun and freaky. Come on, the movie is about a dude who wears a huge head made out of god knows what, with what looks to be stitched a up smile and eyes. If that’s not enough he can be summoned via the internet. Now I’m not sure if you just email him or send him an IM or if he pops out of the screen if you go to some No-No sites but the idea is weird and a bit different so for that I applaud the writers.
The trailer also shows some blood and light gore. I think there will be a fair amount of blood and guts in this movie if it’s an R and if it’s not chances are we saw all the gore we’re gonna get.
The trailer doesn’t make me want to see the movie but it does make me want to see more trailers for the movie before I decide if I want to see the movie.
